Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Stockbridge, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position caring for adult and geriatric patients with a GA or compact RN license and required BLS and NIH certifications. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit with 34 beds and an average daily census of 27 - Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with conditions such as appendicitis, cholecystitis, small bowel obstruction, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, HTN, hypo/hyperglycemia, and various surgical procedures - Equipment used includes NGT, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound vacs - Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6 - Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems - Schedule is 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 to 19:00 - Weekend shifts required every other weekend - Floating is required within the facility - No call requirements - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Expect to work assigned major holidays as determined by assignment period - Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit - No blocked scheduling is permitted - Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed; no RTO during the first week of assignment - Compliance must be completed before the start date to avoid orientation delays - Navy blue scrubs are required /n /n Requirements/n - Active GA or compact RN license - Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience - Current BLS and NIH certifications required - Experience with Epic EMR preferred - Ability to work with a variety of medical surgical diagnoses and related equipment - Must provide two supervisory references from a manager or higher - Perm/PRN staff must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to return as a traveler /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-656402.
