Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Manager - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: Ongoing - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Staff Nurse Manager (RN) – Float Pool Griffin, GA 30224 Full-Time | Day Shift Job Summary The Nurse Manager – Float Pool is a Registered Nurse who provides leadership, strategic oversight, and operational management for the Float Pool department. This role ensures exceptional patient care, optimal staffing, and effective utilization of clinical resources across multiple units. The Nurse Manager serves as the unit’s chief retention and safety officer, driving quality care, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. This role supports organizational mission and excellence through evidence-based leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to high professional standards. Core ResponsibilitiesResources & Support - Engage staff through shared governance and promote relationship-based care models. - Manage staffing, clinical operations, and resource allocation across diverse units. - Analyze and manage financial performance; apply LEAN and quality improvement methods to reduce waste and enhance efficiency. - Serve as the primary leader for retention, safety, and workforce development. Interdisciplinary Teamwork & Collaboration - Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, medical providers, and leadership. - Establish and maintain healthy workplace dynamics through conflict resolution and team-building strategies. - Build strong interdisciplinary partnerships and foster mutual respect and effective collaboration. - Create growth opportunities for staff and mentor future leaders. Exemplary Practice & Outcomes - Support staff competency, training, and clinical excellence across multiple patient care areas. - Uphold high ethical, professional, and compliance standards. - Lead performance improvement initiatives and promote innovative practices. - Drive change management strategies to support evolving clinical needs. Professional Development - Apply healthcare financing knowledge to develop and manage operational budgets. - Implement systems to measure clinical and business outcomes. - Represent the organization professionally through committees, task forces, and community engagement. - Encourage continuous learning and professional growth for self and staff. Evidence-Based Practice & Quality - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and data-driven decision-making. - Identify risk areas and ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation standards. - Maintain excellence in quality, safety, and service outcomes. - Protect patient and staff data confidentiality while using data analytics to guide improvements.
