Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) Location: Atlanta, Georgia Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Full-Time | 3x12s (Day or Night Shifts) Weekends Required | No Block Scheduling Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join a 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit specializing in cardiac care. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility and demonstrate strong clinical expertise in managing complex cardiac patients. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality care to cardiac patients including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain populations. - Manage cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors. - Monitor and document patient conditions, medications, and vital signs. - Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff. - May be assigned to Telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity cases. - Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation. - Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety, and infection control procedures. Requirements: - Active RN License (Georgia or Compact) - Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMCU experience in a comparable facility - BLS and ACLS (AHA) – Required - Strong experience with cardiac drips and cardiac patient management - Must provide demographic information and a badge-appropriate photo at submission Scheduling & Holiday Policy: - No block scheduling - Weekend shifts required - Holiday RTO not approved for the following dates: - Nov 26 – 29 - Dec 23 – 26 - Dec 30 – Jan 2 - Travelers will be scheduled to work either Christmas Eve/Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day, and either Thanksgiving or Black Friday, based on unit needs.
