• Employment Type: TravelJob Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - GI LabLocation: Atlanta, GASchedule: 10-hour Day; 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to FridayDuration: 13 weeks Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) in the GI Lab is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures. This includes colorectal, bariatric, gastroenterology, and pulmonology procedures such as colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, and bronchoscopies. The RN collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and provides patient education on GI-related health issues.Key Responsibilities:- Assist physicians with GI and pulmonology procedures.- Perform pre-procedure assessments and patient education.- Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.- Provide post-procedure care and patient education.- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.- Ensure a clean and safe environment in the GI lab.- Educate patients on dietary and lifestyle changes to manage GI conditions.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.Qualifications:- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty.- Current RN license in the state of employment.- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.Quick Med Staffing Job ID #2025-82415.
