Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
(ICU) Job Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 2 years; first-timers are
accepted License: GA or Compact license must be in hand at the time
of start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Two supervisory
references are highly preferred at time of application Job
Description: - Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics - General
Diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op
complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation,
encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT - Block
scheduling is not guaranteed - No Travel Pairs allowed - Ratio /
Census: 1:2-3; Nursing staff should be prepared for the possibility
of managing a third patient - Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR -
Scrub Color: Navy Blue - RTO: Maximum 7 days - Weekends: Required
to work every other weekend - Floating: Yes, within facility -
Holidays: Expected to work major holidays dependent on assignment
period - Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time;
delayed compliance may push back start by 2 weeks due to
orientation schedule - Modules: Completed during orientation and
vary by specialty Candidates must be prepared to submit core items
and complete/schedule labs promptly to ensure an on-time start.
