About the Position We are currently hiring for an RN - PCU position for one of our prestigious clients based in Cartersville, GA. We are seeking a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in hospital settings. Nurses in this role will be responsible for caring for patients in post-surgical, medical, PCU stepdown units, and ER hold patients. These positions are part of a hospital float pool, so nurses will be required to float throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department. Roles and Responsibilities Cardiac Monitoring : Closely monitor patients with cardiac conditions, including rhythm and rate. Neurological Assessment : Assess patients for neurological changes post-stroke or other neurological events. Respiratory Management : Manage patients with respiratory issues, including oxygen therapy. Pain Management : Administer pain medication and monitor pain levels. Post-Surgical Care : Provide care to patients recovering from major surgeries. About the Facility Facility Type : Short Term Acute Care Bed Size : 139 Level III Trauma Center EMR : EPIC Job Details Unit Details : PCU/MS/ED Hold - Float Pool: Nurses will care for post-surgical, medical, PCU stepdown patients, and ER hold patients. These positions will require floating throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department. Weekend : Every Other Weekend Call : None Floating : Within facility/scope of practice (including the ED). Minimum Experience : 2 years RTO : Maximum of 7 days Holidays : If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two.
