No matter what youre looking for, Buckhead has something for everyone.Click here to learn more: Pet Urgent Care of BuckheadJob DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to:Our Veterinary Shift Leads are responsible for client communications in person and on the phone, checking in and out appointments, phlebotomy, catheter placement, cystocentesis, fine-needle aspirates, animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, running treatments on our appointments and stellar patient care. Our ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and excellent customer care skills. You must also be thoughtful, friendly, curious, responsible, punctual, and have a strong desire to learn!A courteous and efficient veterinary shift lead will coordinate and help manage office administration procedures. Responsibilities include ordering, inventory management, coordinating schedules, resolving conflicts among office staff members, training of staff members, and all other aspects which keeps the practice operating efficiently.Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.Whether youre looking to just be a master of your role or trying to grow into that next career move, youll have opportunities through a variety of virtual and hands on, interactive training and continuing development.QualificationsWere looking for:Top-notch technical skills!Ability to arrive on-time and ready to workComputer skills a must! We are a paperless practice!Pays attention to detail and is a fast learnerExceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate preciselyInterpret medical records and record client history accuratelyProficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skinProficient in positioning and capturing radiographsProficient in anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recoveryA self-starter with the desire to continue to advance ones knowledge and skillsetAbility to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiencyDirect on-the-job training to develop employee skills, advise employees of performance requirements and their progress in meeting those requirements, discuss corrective measures to improve performance and prepare appraisalsWork well with all team members and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.Strong leadership, communication, and motivations skills.
