Description
The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children's
Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine is
expanding. We are actively seeking faculty to help further progress
our academic mission and help us continue delivering advanced
emergency care. Our team is comprised of pediatric emergency
medicine physicians, pediatric urgent care physicians and advanced
practice providers. As a member of our team, you'll be faculty at
Emory University, one of the leading academic institutions in the
nation, partnered with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the
largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country, with 673
licensed beds, more than 1 million patient visits and 40,000
surgical procedures annually.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
and Emory University School of Medicine
--- We serve as the primary teaching hospitals for pediatric care
for medical students, residents and fellows from both Emory
University and Morehouse Schools of Medicine.
--- We oversee highly competitive fellowship training programs in
pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric emergency medicine
ultrasound and pediatric urgent care.
--- Division members care for children at Egleston and Hughes
Spalding Emergency Departments of Children's Healthcare of
Atlanta.
--- The Children's Emergency Departments are among the busiest in
the nation. Egleston Emergency Department has more than 80,000
patient visits and Hughes Spalding Emergency Department sees more
than 50,000 visits annually.
--- Egleston Emergency Department cares for the most vulnerable ill
and injured children in the region and is the only free-standing
Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center verified by the American College of
Surgeons in Georgia.
--- Hughes Spalding Emergency Department is an urban center serving
as regional catchment hospital.
Candidates with strong clinical and academic interests at the
assistant professor and above ranks are encouraged to apply. We are
a key member of the San Francisco-Oakland, Providence, Atlanta
Research Collaborative (SPARC) node in the Pediatric Emergency Care
Applied Research Network (PECARN). There are ample opportunities

Medicine, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and the
