Clinical Coordinator Position Summary Under the general
supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, the Clinical Pharmacy
Coordinator supervises clinical pharmacy services. The Clinical
Pharmacy Coordinator must be high energy and driven, as they will
be instrumental to the success of the pharmacy and Shepherd Center
as a whole. This multifaceted job gives individuals the opportunity
to collaborate with all departments in the Center in order to
provide the best patient care.The candidate must have a
comprehensive understanding of pharmacy related databases, systems
and technologies, has experience in using quality improvements
tools to evaluate and improve pharmacy services and has a strong
understanding of pharmacy related regulatory compliance measures
and practice standards.The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for
performing clinical pharmacy functions that support the rational
and effective use of medications. These functions include pharmacy
tasks which relates to design, development, maintenance and written
clinical interpretation of pharmacy protocols, documents and
materials. The coordinator instructs staff and other managers while
maintaining a regulatory compliant environment, under supervision
of the Director of Pharmacy. The Clinical Coordinator will oversee
the day-to-day clinical operations to assure best practices,
regulatory requirements and policies/procedures are followed.In
addition, the Clinical Coordinator shall serve as the Pharmacy
Residency Director. This role serves to maintain and enhance the
Pharmacy Residency Program at Shepherd Center and requires a
thorough knowledge of the standards and requirements of the
program. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop clinical pharmacy programs
according to policies and regulations Supervise clinical
pharmacists Develop and execute goals that align with the strategic
priorities of the department and organization Review all
non-formulary requests and provide formulary management. Assess,
build, and deploy templates to capture clinical assessments in a
format that is both efficient and functional. Measure and analyze
protocols and pharmacy programs for improvement. Develop and
implement pharmacy education to all levels of staff. Train and
mentor Clinical pharmacy personnel. Provide clinical pharmacy
support for pharmacy, nursing, and other teams as needed Provide
compliance oversight regarding accreditation. Coordinates all
rounding to establish system-wide clinical initiatives. Organize
P&T, QC, and other intra professional committees as needed. and
head at least one committee. Perform other related duties as
assigned or requested by the Director of Pharmacy.Pharmacy
Residency Program Implement and maintain all standards associated
with the ASHP Pharmacy Residency Program Instruct and train all
preceptors in standards, making sure all preceptors are up to date
on requirements and education Conduct Residency applicant
interviews and selection yearly with help of preceptors Review and
revise Program rotations to meet the needs of the residents and
ASHP Act as a resource to preceptors and residents in all Clinical
training and performance Develop and maintain program manual, logs,
documentation to support the program Other tasks as necessary to
the success of the program Requirements: Pharm D/Bachelor's degree
in Pharmacy required Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Georgia
Minimum of five years' experience in an acute care
hospital/clinical setting preferred Residency and/or Board
Certification strongly preferredJob Type: Full-timeSchedule: 8 hour
