NGHS is currently seeking a -Certified Medical Assistant - CMA - NGPG Resource Pool - Oakwood, GA Full Time Day Shift 8:00am-5:00pm -and 8:00am-8:00pm Department Overview Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) -brings together over 500 talented physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, midwives and other clinical staff at more than 65 locations across North Georgia. As part of NGHS, patients of NGPG have a direct connection to Northeast Georgia Medical Center's four hospitals in Gainesville, Braselton, Winder and Dahlonega. Job Summary: -Primarily responsible for utilizing the nursing process in providing the healthcare needs of assigned patients within existing standards of care. Additional job responsibilities encompass assisting physician with assessment and care of patients, gathering and recording of data into medical record, assisting with lab clinic, and office procedures directly relating to patient care and front office duties as required for an overall efficient operation. Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certification Required.
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to two years related experience preferred.
• Experience as lab tech or cardiology practice preferred Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling/stooping/bending
  • Frequent standing/walking
  • Frequent pushing/pulling
