Description:
Part Time with Flexible ScheduleThe Registered Nurse will manage
patient care of an assigned group of patients within the surgery
center. The nurse is responsible for assessing, planning,
implementing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care from
admission to discharge in the perioperative setting. The RN checks
patient chart while admitting noting accuracy of procedures,
consents, allergies, history and physical including updates of
medications and any change in patient condition. The Registered
Nurse assists procedure personnel, by starting IV, giving
medication per policy and gives accurate report to procedure nurse.
The nurse provides constant evaluation, observation and treatment
of patients under mild or moderate sedation per policy and
physicians orders. The RN should anticipate physician's needs
during the procedure and assists as needed. The Registered Nurse
assists in safe transportation and positioning of patients;
Provides for preparation and cleanup of the procedural site. The RN
maintains patient safety and is responsible for proper
documentation.
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited School of NursingCurrent Licensure as
Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or eligible to
obtainCurrent BLS for Healthcare Provide certificationCurrent ACLS
certificationMinimum 3 years of Pre-Op/PACU experienceExperience in
critical care, telemetry, emergency room beneficialKnowledge of
electronic medical records systemAbility to keep a positive
attitude in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work as part of a
teamMust be able to work independentlyMust be detailed
orientedStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent
verbal and written communication skillStrong sense of discretion
