12 hr. night shift, Full Time, including Rotating Weekends
Location: Atlanta, GA Registered Nurse Education and Experience
Requirements: Must be able to practice in North Carolina or be
North Carolina Licensed RN Prefer at least 2 years of clinical
experience, however, recent RN graduates will be considered Prefer
experience in an inpatient setting Experience with Eating Disorders
or Mental Health preferred Adolescent experience strongly preferred

provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the
public about various health conditions, and provide advice and
emotional support to patients and their family members. They work
as part of a team with physicians, other nurses and healthcare
professionals to provide care, monitor health conditions, plan
long-term care needs, administer medicine and use medical
equipment. Promotes and restores patients' health by carrying out
day-to-day and long-term care plans by performing patient care
responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care
for the patient's age and clinical condition. Collaborating with
physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff. MAJOR
ACCOUNTABILITIES Perform nursing efforts to ensure that effective
patient care is provided and that quality standards are met.
Provides physical, emotional, psychological support to patients and
families providing feedback to families when needed. Accepts
assignments of patients during assigned shift and demonstrates
ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of
licensure. Observes patients behavior, mental status and activities
and communicates/documents with team members via electronic medical
record. Provides meal coaching and support for patients and
families, including participating in and completing meals as
appropriate and as assigned. Adheres to all Joint Commission,
licensure and compliance related policies and regulations Promotes
the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Supervises
licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nurse assistants
(CNAs) while on shift. Demonstrates knowledge of medications,
including psychotropic drugs, and their correct administration
based on the patient's age and clinical condition. Administers
medications and treatments. Assesses, observes and records patient
behavior. Consults with physicians and other healthcare
professionals. Establishes treatment plans, operating medical
equipment. Participates in the admission of new patients.
Implements initial or changes in medication, procedures and any
other orders. Assists staff to interpret change in a positive
manner. Assists staff to provide a safe work environment for
patient care. Assist in the preparation and implementation of the
annual goals for the department. Keep professionally current, by
attending continuing education programs, seminars, workshops,
meetings, and/or independent research reading. Consistently and
independently follows established safety and infection control
procedures. Intervenes in unsafe situations. Meets the
communication needs of patient and family. Knowledgeable of a wide
range of disorders, including but not limited to: cognitive,
emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral. Participates in
the unit's performance improvement and continuous quality
improvement activities; provides feedback compliance and engages in
process improvements. Ability to adequately assess and reassess
pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the
patient and family regarding pain management. Formulates and
implements patient plans of care; family is included when
appropriate; demonstrates ability to revise the plan of care as
indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate
overall plan daily for effectiveness. Performs all aspects of
patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and
reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Supports and
maintains a culture of safety by maintaining a safe and clean
