QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree or Two year Technical, 7 - 10 years related or equivalent experience in the plumbing, water treatment or utility service industry. Three years supervisory experience necessary. Strong management, communications, problem solving, and organizational skills required. Experience with computers including Windows based program, Internet use, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Valid Drivers License. SUPERVISION: Position reports directly to the President of the Company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Overall Professional and Behavioral Expectations Customer focus and good customer relationships are the first and foremost expectation. Maintains a work schedule that accommodates completion of tasks within the position description and Company needs. Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate implementation of Company policies, procedures, and Team Member Handbook information. Observes rules of confidentiality, both on the job and in the community. Demonstrates knowledge of job responsibilities and expectations of all Company departments by maintaining positive, open, and supportive working relationships between functional areas. Demonstrates tact and courtesy during contact and communication with others. Demonstrates good problem solving in dealing with emergency needs and unusual occurrences. Demonstrates initiative and good decision-making. Demonstrates a proactive approach in interacting with managers and team members and in ensuring the safety of the facilities. Reports problems or current issues to the President as needed. Sales Responsibilities Responsible for the sale of water treatment equipment to business customers. Generate sales to commercial customers and commercial business developers regarding central drinking water systems for hotels/motels, restaurants, apartment complexes, school districts, city/county organizations. Responds to incoming commercial customer inquiries. Conducts customer site visits. Manages and maintains a list of current and potential customers. Generates commercial/residential leads. Assists with sales to existing customers. Writes proposals and quotes. Attends area trade shows. Conducts customer appointments and follow-ups. Need to remain informed about new products, services and other general information that is of interest to customers. Monitors competitive activity for commercial products and services. Generates new customers and professional business relationships. Works collaboratively with service technicians to solve customer installation problems and other product concerns. Sales Management Manages Household Sales team and sales support. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs. Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve company goals and objectives for products and services. Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets. Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements. Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail. Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends. Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets. Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Directs marketing activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Represents Company at trade association meetings to promote product. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Coordinates liaison between sales department and delivery and service teams. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness. Supervision Provide leadership to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Supervises administrative, delivery, service and residential sales positions for the dealership. Monitors CPS process for Culligan business. Conducts quarterly performance reviews for Sales Team Members and Supervisors. Responsible for performance, including hiring, pay recommendations and dismissals. Control and minimize labor, delivery, administrative supplies and repair expenses. Develops, delivers and oversees all aspects of training for the delivery and service team. Responsible for Atlanta Culligan business operations, including coordination with sales and service contracts, daily paperwork, service and delivery scheduling. Provides direction, training and leadership to residential sales position. Supervise Delivery and Service Supervisors. Culligan Service and Delivery Control and minimize labor and repair expenses. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Develops and oversees training for service technician and delivery. Provides on the job training for service technician and delivery. May provide assistance with household or commercial service or installation. Manage on-call/after hours resource for household service needs. Monitor Household Sales progress. Identify sales opportunities and when needed, assist with household sales appointments and marketing opportunities (fairs and business shows). Facility Maintenance Assists with shop floor organization, inventory and plant cleanliness Contact for assistance with Building Security Contact for liability and insurance loss issues related to Culligan. PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED OR REQUESTED ENVIROMENT Position requires work in a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial facilities including; utility rooms, storage facilities, basements, high-tech industrial work areas, sanitized areas for food preparation or material processing, or hospitals and clinics. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for periods up to two hours. Ability to stand, reaches, and bend. Use of stairs. Ability to push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to finger, grasp and use a tool, keyboard, mouse and other computer equipment. Ability to speak, hear, read, and write the English language. Close visual acuity is required. Physical ability for this position is considered heavy exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally. Over 80 pounds assisted. Ability to walk, stand, reach, and bend during the time it takes to deliver a route, 6 to 8 hours. Move in an out of a delivery vehicle multiple times a day. Ability to move salt and water weighing 40 80 pounds, on your shoulder, of repetitively, regularly during one day. Use of stairs regularly during the day, often carrying 40 80 pounds. Ability to reach overhead to lift and move 40 to 80 pounds. Physical ability for this position is considered heavy. Ability to move 250 - 300 pounds with a wheeled cart on even and uneven surfaces and up and down stairs. Ability to drive a service/delivery truck. Use of a standard transmission possible. Ability to drive a forklift required. Stretching is important at the start of each work day and periodically for alertness. It is beneficial for work safety and personal health. WORK HOURS Occasional nights and weekends as needed. Position may requires assistance with 'On-call' rotation schedule for non-business hour emergencies, by phone and follow-up service.
