Job Description:

ROI Healthcare Solutions currently has an opening for a Director of Business Development to work in the Health Information Services division at ROI Healthcare Solutions, primarily focusing on the sell of Cerner Millennium, EPIC, and Soarian, Invision consulting solutions. This a national sales opportunity offering the right individual the opportunity to use his/her experience to drive ROI's strategic growth by developing and refining an understanding of our customers' most important needs and creating/leading winning sales strategies in both existing and new customer bases. Primary Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Grow the opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent markets/customers, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter-company collaboration
  • Support development of growth plans to ensure alignment with strategic goals of the HIS Practice.
  • Coordinate with business line leaders and other senior leaders to ensure the sales plans align with annual and long-term business development goals
  • Lead and participate in the identification, qualification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities
  • Develop internal cross-organizational relationships and drives new growth through collaboration with the other sectors
  • Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits, and develop marketing strategies
  • Participate in bid decisions, gate reviews and the development of cost strategies
  • Conduct customer visits and perform research to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements
  • Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers across a diverse business portfolio Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
    • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in healthcare HIS business development, new business penetration, account management and client relationship management; successful experiences selling Cerner Millennium/Soarian/Invision and Project Management consulting services are required.
    • Proven capability to sell value-based consulting services with working knowledge of HIS business competencies (Care Continuum, Clinical, Financial, Business Analytics and Government Regulations)
    • Leverageable relationships with customer decision makers (CIOs, Directors of Business Applications) at large healthcare clients
    • Experience with sales processes, procedures and technology within a team environment
    • Experience producing and delivering high quality work products (e.g. proposals, presentations, statements of work)
    • Proven success identifying and qualifying revenue growth opportunities
    • Working knowledge of Cerner and EPIC vendor systems
    • Working knowledge of Clinical and Revenue Cycle Healthcare Operations
    • Ability to travel weekly throughout the U.S. Preferred Qualifications:
      • Strong understanding and knowledge of HIS consulting services market
      • Understanding of healthcare regulatory and legislation issues, such as Macra, MIPS, ICD-10, ACOs, Clinical Transformation etc.
      • Experience selling enterprise IT solutions
      • Experience implementing procedures for sales, marketing and proposal execution
      • Proven ability to develop consultative business relationships at the C Suite level Skills & Attributes for Success
