Posting open until filledSalary range: $62,988 - $83,984The Senior Manager Customer Resolution & Compliance will oversee and enforce compliance procedures within the Department of Procurement for the City of Atlanta. This role is critical in integrating policy-driven governance using the department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), collaborating closely with the Office of Contract Compliance, Law and other relevant stakeholders. The position supports strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring adherence to compliance controls and fostering a culture of transparency and integrity. -The manager will also be responsible for developing compliance training programs, systematic compliance reporting, and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships to uphold the city's procurement standards and regulations. Additionally, this role includes the responsibility for updating and maintaining the department's SOPs, policies, legislation, and memorandums, and requires advanced knowledge of the Procurement Code. -This position is also responsible for overseeing and enhancing the process and teams dedicated to resolving customer/vendor issues and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and standards. Duties include ensuring customer satisfaction and that all procurement operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations. The manager will help to ensure that the City's reputation is maintained and uphold its commitment to excellent customer service and compliance.Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and Implements Compliance Policies: Establishes and updates compliance policies and procedures in accordance with city, state, and federal laws. -
  • Regularly reviews and revises the department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, legislation, and memorandums to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Coordinates with Key Stakeholders: Works closely with the Office of Contract Compliance, legal teams, and other departments to ensure procurement activities are fully compliant. -
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration to promote a cohesive compliance strategy.
  • Monitors and Reports on Compliance: Oversees the creation and dissemination of compliance reports to senior management, ensuring all compliance metrics are met. -
  • Provides regular updates on policy and legislative changes affecting procurement practices.
  • Leads Training and Development: Designs and conducts training sessions on compliance, ethics, and procurement processes to enhance departmental knowledge and practices. -
  • Ensures all staff are well-informed about updates to SOPs, policies, legislation, and memorandums.
  • Manages Compliance Investigations: Handles internal investigations related to procurement irregularities and ensures corrective actions are implemented effectively. -
  • Works with key department leadership and managers to implement corrective actions effectively.
  • Strategic Sourcing Support: Provides compliance oversight in strategic sourcing decisions and processes to ensure they align with city policies and regulations. -
  • Leverages advanced knowledge of the Procurement Code to guide decision-making processes.
  • Oversees and enhances processes and teams dedicated to resolving customer/vendor issues, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and standards.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and that all procurement operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintains the City's reputation and uphold its commitment to excellent customer service and compliance.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Expertise in Legal Compliance: Thorough understanding of procurement-related legal compliance, including the Open Records Act and other relevant regulations.
    • Advanced Knowledge of the Procurement Code: Comprehensive understanding of the Procurement Code to ensure all procurement activities comply with legal standards.
    • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently while maintaining strict attention to detail.
    • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
    • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in analyzing complex situations and developing strategic solutions to compliance and procurement challenges. -
    • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
