About the role

As a CBRE Project Management Sr. Manager, you'll direct a team responsible for providing sophisticated management services to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. This person will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate real estate (office space) across the America's Region, including Canada, US and Latin America.

What you'll do

Provide indirect supervision and training and development of variable project managers (VPM). Mentor and lead VPMs and ensure performance meets client program. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new VPMs across projects and portfolio.

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines.

Lead all aspects of all phases of project management including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.

Ensure that contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout are accurate, timely, and compliant.

Monitor billing, accounts receivable collection, expense monitoring and control, staffing, and full P&L to EBITDA.

Work cross-functionally with other business lines.

Identify project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.

Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own subject area, and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

Identify and seek technical and operational problems of complexity.

Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job subject area.

What you'll need

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 10+ years of proven experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and CCM designations preferred.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and exciting performance and retention is helpful.
  • Ability to own the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
  • Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Scheduling familiarity and MS Project and/or Smartsheet will be essential.
  • Extensive interpersonal skills and a sophisticated inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures, including percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. Project budgeting and portfolio planning are also critical to this role.

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $170,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
