www.equiniti.com/us EQ is looking to hire a Project Manager for a
3-6 month role to directly and independently manage moderate/high
risk and complexity change projects which support strategic
objectives related to Business Risk & Controls. Responsibilities
The role is responsible to organize, plan and proactively
communicate the management of projects from the initiation through
close processes; achieve project performance in accordance with
applicable policies, ensuring documentation/artifacts meet agreed
methodology and standards; lead and effectively employ
relationships with all internal teams, clients or vendors and
facilitate the realization of the expected project benefit and
performance. Accountabilities
- Project Management - manage the project with full authority,
lead and engage the team; support and guide project sponsor through
scope, approach, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and resourcing;
as applicable confirm business case and budget approval; employ
appropriate methodology to meet objectives and achieve benefits
within scope, time and cost parameters; create timelines, project
plans and logs to monitor and control project activities; build
appropriate plans around team expectations, project risk
management, communication, testing, training, and transition to
business. Seeks appropriate consultation from peers, key
stakeholders, and sponsor in times of complex or critical ambiguity
and adapts planning, communications and engagement accordingly.
Drive and influence results by acting with speed, agility and
adaptability
- Project Financials - Provide direction and support to enable
budget approval and prioritization. Ensure appropriate project
financial health and expense efficiency. Mitigate financial risk
through variance analysis.
- Project Risk - ensure overall risk identification and
mitigation management as well as ongoing risk assessment and
adaptation; create and manage appropriate escalation strategies and
implementation. Ensure compliance with applicable company policies
for project management, information security, risk, recordkeeping,
etc.
- Project Monitoring and Control - create and manage plans,
progress and status reporting, stakeholder/risk/issues management
plans, change control processes; ensure identification and
appropriate conclusion of issues, assumptions and decisions. Ensure
appropriate escalation strategies and implementation of
resolutions. Incorporate regular review and consultation with the
sponsor, key stakeholders, business and support service groups to
validate project progression, risk management, health and
performance
- Project Communication and Change Management - Ensure project
communication incorporates all those affected internally/externally
to fully understand the nature and implications of the change.
Ensure prolific and effective communications; produce and organize
information for presentations on approach, plan and management,
utilizing various mediums to adjust to audience as appropriate.
Magnify teams' information radiators.
- Project Relationships - cultivate partnerships and successfully
influence and collaborate across sponsor, key stakeholders and
partner groups; foster a unified culture that supports team member
engagement and empowerment.
- Develop and maintain key working and influencing relationships
with appropriate colleagues across the business; ensuring new
opportunities are identified and leveraged. Support and promote
team member engagement and empowerment.
- Lead and/or provide direction, guidance or coaching to less
experienced staff, providing organizational understanding and
relationship building to promote the success delivery of projects;
including training and providing input to performance
evaluations
- Team Engagement: Providing support, encouragement, and creative
roadblock removal to assist in accomplishing team goals Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Project Management Institute (PMI) lifecycle and knowledge
areas
- Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management
methodologies and tools
- Knowledge and experience with agile projects
- Knowledge of Employee Stock Purchase, Stock Options, and
Restricted stock plans
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of products, with
demonstrated capability in Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Excellent written and verbal communication exhibiting clear,
concise, communication through presentation materials, progress
information, interpersonal exchange, and meeting facilitation;
tailoring to different audiences
- Planning & Organizing: Developing specific goals and plans
(who, what, when) to prioritize, organize, and accomplish goals;
meet or exceed objectives on time, on schedule, within budget
- Partnering & Collaborating: active engagement, developing
networks, collaborating across groups and finding common ground
across stakeholders; understand and meet the customer view and
needs
- Managing Conflict & Negotiation: handling complaints, settling
disagreements and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others
in a positive constructive manner; ability to navigate matrix
organization effectively, remove barriers
- Problem Solving: Identifying problems; determining accuracy and
relevance of information; effectively analyzing information to
generate and evaluate alternatives.
- Leadership - ability to mobilize and motivate teams, promote a
high sense of belonging and engagement, set clear direction and
approach, deliver tough messages with grace, influence when
necessary, and perform under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change
or unpredictability. Ability to work with teams in multiple
locations, time zones, and cultures. Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified
Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or related project
management certification preferred Compensation
