The Director, Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the
development and successful implementation of a dynamic and
responsive supply chain delivery organization that provides
first-class service to all customers. Under the leadership of the
Director, Supply Chain Operations, the supply chain team will
ensure system requirements are leveraged to capture optimal
quality, price and service for all member organizations.
The Director, Supply Chain Operations will manage home office staff
as well as member organization-based regional supply chain leaders.
-This position will have system-wide responsibility for all supply
chain activities and will deliver services through a management
team that is a combination of system-based and member
organization-based employees.
In addition to developing and managing the strategic supply chain
for the system, the Director, Supply Chain Operations is
responsible for reducing and controlling product/service costs,
reducing and controlling transaction and logistics costs
(warehousing, purchasing, etc.), providing world-class sourcing
services, improving the quality of procured products and services
and identifying, analyzing and implementing sourcing opportunities.
This includes, but is not limited to, the identification of
strategic sourcing opportunities for products and equipment,
management and optimization of system-wide supplier relationships
and performance and research/entry into new product and service
offerings where appropriate.
If you are located within commutable distance from Bangor or
Portland, Maine, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*,
as well as work in the office as you take on some tough
challenges
