Job Description:

LHH has partnered with a family-owned payroll software company in
the search for an HR Manager with 10 years of holistic HR
experience, 5 of which have been in HR Management. The ideal
candidate has supported HR for IT professionals, is SHRM or PHR
certified, has managed small teams of direct reports, and has
demonstrated experience working on the compliance side of HR in IT
organizations. Performance management and recruitment are some of
the first major responsibilities this manager will be stepping into
at an organization with already established HR processes,
procedures, and workflows that have ensured the organization's
success over the years.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide leadership for all aspects of the companys human resources
area. Oversee associated policies, procedures and practices in
accordance with employment laws and regulations. Adhere to the
highest level of professional standards regarding matters that are
confidential and/or require discretion.
Responsibilities
- Head the companys Human Resources Department, managing and
administering all human resources activities and functions
- Ensure compliance with all HR-related SOC controls and
payroll-related IT regulations
- Oversee salary administration, PTO and employee benefit
programs, etc.
- Partner with senior management to understand and execute the
organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it
relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention,
and succession planning
- Lead the continuous improvement and execution of recruiting
initiatives, including managing staffing partners, developing and
posting job descriptions, screening applicants, setting up and
conducting interviews (both remote and on-site), arranging travel,
as necessary, supporting managers in the hiring process, and
identifying and implementing applicant tracking software to assist
in the foregoing
- Work with senior management to develop best practices around
onboarding, training, professional development and retention to
build and maintain a high-performing team
- Guide the performance appraisal, transfer, promotion and
progressive disciplinary processes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with personnel policies and
procedures related to corporate programs
- Gain a familiarity with internal and licensed HRIS and
Payroll-related software and tools.
- Create and implement programs designed for development,
engagement, motivation and preservation of on-site and remote
staff, planning and executing related staff engagement activities
and communications
- Interact with internal payroll staff and provide guidance as
required
- Maintain standardized job descriptions and create promotion
paths and salary bands for all positions
- Manage FMLA, ADA, AAP, Vets-100, EEOC, OSHA, and 5500 etc.

- Maintain all personnel files, both hard copy and electronic
within appropriate structures
- Arrange and oversee employee training and training records
retention
- Counsel managers and employees about employment-related issues,
benefits, etc.
- Supervise, train and mentor subordinates
- Serve as a contact with insurance carriers and agents as well
as with 401(k) TPAs
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory
changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent
management, and employment law
- Other duties as may be assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 10 years recent Human Resources experience with at
least 5 years in a management role
- Certification through HRCI (PHR / SPHR) or SHRM (CP or SCP);
Senior level required
- Technology or software firm experience
- Experience recruiting technical and professional level
staff
- Experience managing the Cornerstone Performance Appraisal
process is preferred
- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the
organizations HR-related systems and tools
- Background dealing with group insurance and 401(k)
providers
- Detail orientated with excellent written, verbal, conflict
resolution, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience with applicant tracking software
- Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and
confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and
regulations
- Must be available to work on-site at least two days a week
