• We seek a talented and customer-centric individual to join our IHG family as anIT Services Category Manager. As a member of our procurement team, you will lead and manage multiple IT Procurement Services sub-categories, including the sourcing, contracting, and negotiating assigned sourcing events. Your role will be crucial in representing significant spending for IHG across several strategic, specialized, niche service providers and outsourcing firms.
• You will collaborate with businesses to understand stakeholder requirements, future demand, and strategic needs, and successfully lead and execute on global IT services sourcing events and value-driven initiatives. Your ability to manage change, both internal and external, will be paramount, and you will work in a fast-changing environment that demands agility and effective project and program management skills.
• As a responsible corporate citizen, ambassador of the IHG brand, and trusted advisor, you will lead/manage responsible procurement [supplier diversity, sustainability, and human rights] and guide IHG through a major change to deliver breakthrough value in support of the overall procurement goals. Additionally, you will align in an agile manner with the always evolving and maturing IHG Procurement operating model and process framework.
• To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of IT services, outsourcing/offshoring, ITES (IT Enabled Services and call centers), managed services and services automation, and experience with other technology categories like software, hardware, cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), and telecom is a plus. Your analytical and insight-driven mindset, coupled with your willingness and passion to learn, will support decision-making and deliver higher value (savings, avoidance), assurance of supply, and risk mitigation (benefits) for the stakeholders.
• You should possess a Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Your 5+ years of progressive, work-related experience in IT Services category management, and procurement function will be critical, along with your practical project and program management skills, good negotiation and influencing skills, and value-driven mindset.
