best work.(sm) Lead the Surest Implementation Team, with
accountability to deliver complete, timely, and accurate client
implementations of Surest products. Champion a culture of
accountability and collaboration to meet changing business and
client needs, including market expansion and continuous change in
process and capabilities. Own and oversee implementation processes,
ensuring consistent delivery that creates positive client and
broker experiences and creates promoters of the Surest brand. Act
as critical process expert and team leader, monitoring performance
of team and overall client implementation lifecycle. Initiate and
manage change to improve implementation delivery through product
and process. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from
anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities: People Management: Champion Surest
culture and strategy, acting as manager and coach for direct-report
project managers variety of backgrounds and levels of experience.
Anticipate and resolve team and direct report issues, investigate
concerns and potential risks, and provide remediation
recommendations for the model. Provide direct, actionable feedback,
using available performance data and human capital best practices
to develop organizational talent. Lead by example with strong
collaborative spirit across immediate team, broader Surest team,
and UHC/UMR/Optum counterparts Team Direction and Oversight:
Collaborate with Sales and Client Management teams to understand
and respond to sales and renewal projections; plan team staffing
with Group Onboarding and Operations Performance Lead according to
established targets utilizing data-driven approach, including
staffing ratios where appropriate. Determine assignment approach
and assign roles across team for newly sold and renewing clients.
As needed, collaborate with Group Operations Specialists lead on
assignment of supporting resources, especially for Fully Insured
business. Oversee client implementation/renewal progress and client
readiness. Identify and respond to project risks, delays, and lift
barriers to timely and accurate delivery. Core Knowledge Holder:
Act as implementation process expert and owner, including
representing the Implementation team as a part of cross-functional
meetings and projects. Respond to and manage escalations in a
timely, effective manner. Make critical process decisions and
create certainty in ambiguous situations to lift barriers to
project success. Field cross-functional requests; work with teams
to define responsibility and accountability paths and apply best
practices to create process certainty. Act as critical connector
between multiple cross-disciplinary teams to enable information
flows and communication of process changes. Process Improvement and
Team Readiness: Set process improvement agenda for client
implementation project management, identifying improvement needs
and working with appropriate internal resources to scope and
deliver. Work with Process Engineering and internal partners to
ensure process documentation is accurate and used appropriately.
Work directly with Product Team, providing feedback and
opportunities for performance improvement through product
maturation. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance

Required Qualifications: 7 years of managed care operations
experience Client implementation experience in the healthcare
industry Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business
administration, Health Management, or a related field Experience in
insurance and healthcare administration, including fully-insured
and self-insured healthcare operating models Experience
managing/developing employees in a matrixed team environment
Start-up experience, demonstrating the ability to work in an
ambiguous and fast-paced environment Managed care programs,
operations, and practices from both a provider and insurer
perspective Data flows and process optimization, as applied to
client implementation Program management principles and practices
at an expert level Proven solid problem-solving, multi-tasking,
relationship-building, and communication skills Careers at

Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California,
Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington
residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
