Transforming healthcare and millions of lives as a result starts with the values you embrace and the passion you bring to achieve your life's best work.(sm)The Senior Manager of Quality Improvement Program Reporting is responsible the Physician Reporting Package (PRP) by identifying opportunities to improve quality processes and managing improvement projects for HEDIS/CMS STARs and strategic initiatives. This role will investigate non-standard requests and problems such as researching complex QRA inquiries and determining next steps and timely resolution, makes presentations to direct management and completes projects on time and within scope. This position will also actively participate in the back end testing for PRP by writing scripts needed to ensure data is flowing and accurate in the back end. The position will also define and refine business report requirements that address business needs within the PRP and SDS/PSV team. - Must be able to document and develop reporting solutions for PRP and SDS/PSV Medical record reviewed by the Clinical Operation team. This position plays an important role in the development and implementation of reporting solutions for HEDIS annual reporting and Chart Chase. - May also serve as a liaison between business users and IT report developers to understand reporting needs, develop requirements, and ensure data architecture is implemented to support alignment with business requirements. - Manager will partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as Chart Chase application, segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization HEDIS reporting requirements. - - Actively participates in development and support of reporting and business intelligence solutions, and may serve in a project manager capacity for smaller work efforts. -You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis by developing and executing SQL queries on various sets of data streams, inclusive of normalizing data as needed, and evaluates downstream business systems, processes, and/or organizational impacts
  • Works with internal and external department customers to define and document requirements to enrich reporting capabilities
  • Develop internal reporting using SSRS, Tableau or Power BI
  • Designs, develops, tests, documents, and maintains database queries and reports
  • Solves complex problems, develops innovative solutions, and provides explanations and information to others on the resolution
  • Develops systematic reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reporting to management
  • Troubleshoots data integrity issues, analyzes data for completeness to meet business goals and trending
  • Transfers data into meaningful, professional, and easy to understand formats for various audiences
  • Recommends and implements new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information
  • Recommends and implements new or modified workflows to improve process efficiencies and outcomes for HEDIS measure development with business partners
  • Supports complex projects that require cross-functional coordination. - Works closely with all customers to accomplish mutual goals and strategies in order to support company goals
  • Coordinates and collaborates with end users, the data warehouse developers, DBA's, and the change/release manager to ensure total system quality assurance is met at all times
  • Serves as a resource to staff, answering questions and assisting with department informatics, reporting, and trending, and workflow/operational issues
  • Escalates issues to department leadership for support and guidance
  • Assists in the development and testing of new reports and ongoing support of existing solutions, including defect identification and resolution
  • Advises on the implications of existing systems that can be applied to a reporting problem. Identifies risks and issues, and seeks approval on complex matters
  • Checks, instructs, and otherwise functionally directs technical staff in order to achieve desired end-results on complex problems
  • Serves as subject matter expert and provides operational support to internal business partners and external business partners
  • Responsible for documentation management (development and revisions) of assigned processes: workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOP), etc.

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology or related field - (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree)
    • 6+ years of combined experience with development and testing related to reporting and analysis
    • 3+ years of associated experience with health plan or health care industry
    • 3+ years of experience with various reporting and analytics tools (SSRS, Tableau, Power BI)
    • 1+ years of experience with process improvement initiatives -
    • 1+ years of HEDIS/STAR experience
    • Proficiency in T-SQL or similar programming language and developing efficient, well performing queries
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Visio software applicationsPreferred Qualifications:
      • PMP or Six Sigma certification -
      • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Visual Studio, Visual Basic, and SSIS
      • Knowledge of Health Care Industry and/or experience in Medicare Advantage Part D (MAPD) operations
      • Knowledge and or experience with reading and interpreting contracts related to Healthcare relationships
      • Knowledge or experience of Agile software development cycle
