The Sr. Director of National Accounts is responsible for leading the Value Channel retailers, The Jel Sert Company, and Team Members to achieve brand, sales, and share of category objectives. This individual will be tasked with hiring and training team members, setting quotas, evaluating, and adjusting performance, and developing processes and strategies that drive profitable sales. The Sr. Director of National Accounts will have strong analytical skills, excellent cross functional leadership abilities, and exceptional customer relationship building capabilities. This individual will be an active member of The Jel Sert Company Sales Leadership Team and will be relied on to help set and drive short- and long-term company strategic objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Short- and long-term strategy development
  • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts, data analytics and customer and consumer insights
  • Present ideas, products, and opportunities both internally and externally to the customer
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members
  • Manage our Broker partners and hold them accountable to achieving Retailer and Company objectives
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed
  • Work closely with the Executive Vice President of Sales and the Sales Leadership Team on continuous process, product, people, and profit improvement


    • Bachelor's degree, and or 8+ years managing National Accounts
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas
    • Excellent leadership skills
    • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
    • Deep understanding of all things connected to the Value Channel
    • Must be able to travel frequently (30%). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office


      • Bachelor's degree, and or 8+ years managing National Accounts
      • Must have knowledge of the consumer industry and working with brokers
      • Must be experienced with sales presentations and developing customer programs

            KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITY

            • Must have excellent communication skills - oral and written
            • Must have strong analytical skills to ensure integrity of data
            • Prioritizes and schedules own work
            • Develops Strategic plans by category in each account and designs programming to reach strategic goals
            • Checks the quality and timeliness of own work
            • Communicates company programs and procedures to others i.e. brokers and customers
            • Communicates customer programs and procedures to Jel Sert internally i.e. customer service, traffic, marketing
            • Establishes and manages annual business plan to sell all products profitably
            • Plans and evaluates performance results i.e. sales calls, account performance, pay back of Trade Spending

              • Ability to move distances (within and between) office environments and travel environments
              • Ability to travel in a vehicle (driving) or airplane for long periods of time 6 hours minimum
              • Ability to speak clearly on the telephone

              • Ability to utilize hands during completion of job responsibilities
              • Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs this could be luggage during travel or product
