Description Georgia Pacific is seeking a Senior Manager of Planning & Analysis - S&OP for our Gypsum division. This role is based at our Corporate HQ in beautiful downtown Atlanta, GA. The Senior Manager Planning & Analysis creates value by utilizing supply chain expertise and a data-driven approach to develop strategies and lead process improvement initiatives in the areas of supply and demand planning. Critical to success in this role is the ability to partner across multiple capabilities and develop a shared point of view. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate ideas effectively, work autonomously, and affect organizational change. What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead and develop a team of two direct reports who are the key owners for our monthly Demand and Supply Planning capabilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize system manufacturing and distribution footprint including product mix and capacity plan (plant staffing, product assortment, sourcing strategies, etc)
  • Utilize data to balance freight, manufacturing, and raw materials costs while ensuring finished goods inventory will meet customer requirements and achieve business goals
  • Lead process-improvement initiatives for the planning team, including developing/improving optimization methodologies with existing Demand Planning and Supply Planning models
  • Provide ad-hoc decision support to S&OP team, Inside Sales, Regional Business Managers, and other organizational groups to improve commercial excellence through creating and analyzing various S&OP metrics
  • Coordinate and collaborate across multiple capabilities including S&OP, procurement, inside sales, regional business managers, manufacturing, shipping, and transportation
  • Exemplify Market Based Management (MBM) guiding principles and drive profitable application of MBM and long-term operational excellence The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
    • Experience managing an analytical team
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a relevant Business or IT field
    • Progressive career experience in S&OP, IBP, finance, operations, data analysis, demand forecasting, or related capability
    • Experience identifying and closing gaps by applying strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; including the ability to clearly define problems, collect data from a variety of sources, establish facts, draw valid/profitable conclusions, and make effective recommendations to leadership
    • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL or Access to create basic data queries
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, MS SharePoint including familiarity with Pivot Tables, BI Cubes, and connecting to external data sources What Will Put You Ahead
      • Experience managing direct reports based in remote locations
      • Manufacturing sector experience
      • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) experience
