Engineering News Record for 18 years consecutively. Our Georgia
Water Group is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing
team in Atlanta. Successful candidates will be responsible for
providing technical, management, and staff support for a variety of
infrastructure-related projects, primarily involving the planning
and design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations,
and storage facilities. Candidates should be skilled in managing
multiple priorities, organizing time and projects, tracking budgets
and meeting deadlines. Responsibilities: Assist with the execution
of projects from conceptual planning phases through final plans,
specifications, and estimate bid packages. Provide technical design
support for infrastructure related projects for water and
wastewater treatment pump stations. Maintain existing client
relationships and help develop new client and project
opportunities. Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering
practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various
reports and design projects. Evaluate alternatives, resolve
technical issues and interface with other disciplines. Provide
construction support services such as bid evaluations, plan
clarifications, review shop drawings, review monthly progress
reports and evaluate change order requests. Perform engineering
interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and
documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design
team. Make independent assessment of engineering problems and
recommend solutions to engineering discipline leads, resolve
questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely,
cost effective and compliant manner. Achieve financial targets in
relation to backlog, utilization, and invoicing. Manage and mentor
technical staff. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil
Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
6-20 years of experience. Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or
Environmental Engineering, registered in Georgia or ability to
obtain licensure in Georgia. Background will ideally include
project work and process knowledge of hydraulics, and
water/wastewater treatment. Competency in technical project
execution and in writing and pricing scopes of work for proposals.
