Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.Job SummaryPartners with academic and business units within the University to understand the business needs to implement and maintain IT solutions to meet the objectives. Provides technical guidance to others within the team across all application services functions. Leads and develops business relationships and expertise in the operations of specific business units, handles technically complex applications and initiatives, and updates internal operating standards. Works closely with vendors for issue resolution, quality assurance, and application availability and security.Responsibilities1. Responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of complex enterprise application services and solutions, ensuring their quality, reliability, stability, recoverability, and security2. Manages and maintains relationships with key departments throughout the University to identify and understand customer needs, and implement solutions that best support their objectives3. Provides advanced technical expertise and works closely with other technical staff, functional teams, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve application and data issues4. Participates in feasibility studies, reviews vendor contracts and SLAs, and participates in development of procurement solicitations5. Contributes to development of best practices for monitoring and in determining resource needs to ensure application up-time and availability6. Leads implementation projects for the team, providing updates on project progress, and proactively communicating issues that may impact project success7. Maintains application inventories and documentation, such as application architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, business process documentation, configurations, data governance documents, standard operating procedures, and run books8.
