Deloitte Pixel - Insights and Research Consultant (looking for a
strong consultant)
This is a unique opportunity to join the Deloitte Pixel Insights
team, Deloitte's proprietary asset for primary research and
crowdsourcing. Pixel operates like an internally incubated start-up
and is known for challenging industry assumptions, thinking
differently and building an unparalleled user experience. To date,
Pixel has delivered 300 research projects supporting clients across
all industries.
Our nimble team is focused on productizing research and disrupting
the process for deriving insights from the consumers, employees,
and experts who matter most for our clients. Our team spans the US
and operates in a 100% remote model, with opportunity for
occasional offsites and in-person working sessions.
We are in the process of launching a first-of-its-kind research
platform that will completely change the industry. This is a chance
to get in at the ground floor of a business that has the chance to
disrupt a $23B industry. We offer the benefits and compensation of

Work you'll do:
- Serve as a research project SME, interfacing with client teams,
Deloitte project teams and internal stakeholders to successfully
answer their most pressing research questions.
- Design custom research approach, including identification of
the proper methodologies (virtual focus groups, expert interviews,
consumer surveys, A/B testing, etc.) and Pixel partners to deliver
within the project timeline and budget
- Create research inputs, including study design, participant
sourcing criteria, fielding cadence and end-to-end timeline
- Manage external researchers to analyze studies and synthesize
actionable insights through powerpoint storyboards, Power BI
dashboards, etc.
- Develop research collateral (e.g., mobile ethnography studies,
consumer surveys, etc.) and content to further productize research
process
- Work directly with Pixel vendor partners to grow relationships
and manage contractual agreements
- Track demand and usage across existing vendors and identify
white space for improvement in our portfolio
- Research and identify potential new vendor partners to bring
into the Pixel portfolio
- Contribute to our growth strategy and broader product roadmap
priorities, including:
- Participate in ideation and prioritization for the Pixel
Platform product vision and near-term / long-term priorities
- Stay up to date with latest market research techniques and help
optimize Pixel's current state approach and processes
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of market research, consumer insights, and/or data
analytics experience
- Speak the "research language" with formal education / training
in marketing or a related field
- Self-starter who tackles ambiguity with excitement and a "get
it done" mentality
- Collaborative, innovative, scrappy, fearless and
empathetic
- Insatiable desire for learning
- Unafraid of breaking rules
- Feels undervalued in current role with a lot of firepower and
energy to give
- Interested in an early-stage startup style environment
- Excellent oral and written communications skill
- Proven project management experience in client-facing roles
Preferred Experience:
- Worked with strategy/consulting companies and excited about
client service
- Executed primary research
- Worked with primary research companies like Qualtrics in client
facing/solutioning capacity to map client needs to vendor
solutions
