Leads the Program and Project Management team as part of the OSP Residential Portfolio Delivery Team for residential new build, ensuring projects are completed on-time relative to the initial residential move-in date, model home date, and/or quick connect target date. Also support the planning activities required for budget estimation (rate/volume) during the LRP (long-range planning) process. Lead a team that is required to deliver regular program status (homes passed delivered, scheduling nationwide), at-risk management, and forecasted volumes by month and year end. Work closely with the Business Operations (Finance), Cox Communities (Residential Sales), Cox Business, Supply Chain, and all local market Construction Teams as they build residential new build projects.Effectively lead the Program Management of the Rebuild Program funded by the Field Capital Portfolio. This includes the national program management of cable replacements, relocates, conversions, MDU rewires, customer impact mitigation, fiber reinforcements, and test equipment. Planning recommendations to Business Operations, regular Program readouts, and OSPC field support will be required.

  • Direct the management of Residential New Build Projects (typically designed and built via FTTH architecture) under minimal to no supervision
  • Direct the management of Residential Rebuild Projects (cable replacements, conversions, relocates, MDU rewires, customer impact mitigation, fiber reinforcement, and test equipment) under minimal to no supervision
  • Accountable for planning of resources for program and project management of all residential projects, tasks, allocation, estimation, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Develop detailed program schedules, project volumes, resource plans, and status reports
  • Report and communicate to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Track and communicate key program milestones and potential program risks
  • Reports on program progress regularly (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Establish and implement program management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet business expectations
  • Ensure alignment across multiple Technology and business stakeholders on overall program schedule, budget, deliverables, and ensures alignment is maintained for duration of program
  • Anticipate and identify tasks required to support change processing including performing change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project
  • team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status
  • Partner with business partner on development of financial materials and support presentation of budget requests to appropriate funding
  • Sustain strong ongoing relationships with business sponsors and senior management during projects delivery
  • Collaborate with technology suppliers, construction, engineering, strategy, product, marketing, sales, etc.
  • Participate in project team performance appraisals, career planning and succession planning
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and project functional trends
  • Forecast program volumes, by market, to ensure growth is enabled by continued reliability
  • May manage multiple program and project managers in a direct or matrixed reporting relationship
  • Effectively manage cross-functional team members
  • Provides functional strategic leadership and execution of technology solutions and support, ensuring alignment with the companys business objectives.
  • Identifies, proposes, and influences business solutions, negotiates deliverables and requirements across multiple business customers or organizations.
  • Anticipates industry future directions and relates those changes to current and future needs and projects
  • Partners with other functional groups to develop, manage, track, and analyze operational support structures, tools, methods and procedures and processes to gain maximum effectiveness, efficiency, and a quality customer experience
  • Ensures that the design and integration of customer solutions with Technology and business partners leads to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology
  • Works closely with technology senior management in order to fully understand business priorities of the function and the corporation as a whole
  • Establish functional strategic goals for improving operations, products and services. Initiate and direct activity aligned with achieving improvement goals.
  • Analyzes and manages capital and expense budgets
  • Oversees and leads contract negotiations and vendor management
  • Directs Technology economic, alternative, and feasibility evaluations
  • Consults with business leaders to define key performance indicators and service levels, create a process framework, and initiate and direct improvement activitiesQualifications:
    • 10+ years of experience required in related field (i.e., Construction, Residential Sales, Cox Business, Program Management)
    • Requires strong knowledge of and experience in program and project management methodologies
    • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organizationPreferred
      • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Engineering, Computer Science, Business)
      • Executive MBA or MBA from accredited university preferred
      • 3+ years of experience in a management role preferred
      • Experience in telecommunications industry desired
      • Knowledge of Coxs FTTH Architecture
      • Knowledge in Coxs construction processes (design, permitting, fiber builds, certifications, ICOMS address releases)
