Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)Optum Enterprise Issue Management is an enterprise capability focused on improving the customer experience while providing enterprise and business value by driving issue resolution in The Director of Strategy and Oversight is accountable for ensuring successful execution of strategic priorities across Optum Enterprise Issue Management (OEIM) and Accreditation teams as well as recommending and influencing the strategic and long-range goals for the capabilities. General Profile:

  • Collaborates across OEIM and Accreditation leadership and their stakeholders to develop long-range, strategic goals for the organization, incorporating analysis of emerging industry and market trends
  • Provides oversight to the execution of initiatives aligned to critical strategic priorities across the Optum Enterprise Issue Management and Accreditation team
  • Facilitates negotiations as needed across business areas related to interpretations of the enterprise operational definition of an issue to ensure consistent customer experiences and evaluation of performance at the UHG levelYou'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Provide oversight and direction across Optum Enterprise Issue Management and Accreditation strategic initiatives and teams including:
    • Accountable to advance the adoption of Issue Management across Optum by engaging and supporting new and emerging products such as Center for Digital Health and Optum Virtual Care. Consult with operational teams on Issue Management best practices, Service Recovery (inner closed loop), Service Recovery Re-imagined, including engagement with Accreditation team when appropriate
    • Accountable to define high level plan for Accreditation to begin to migrate from non-strategic applications and tools to EnterpriseNow
    • Provide support to the following Joint Issue Management (UHG-Level initiative) workstreams
    • Accountable to advance the adoption of EnterpriseNow by supporting OEIM integration efforts with emerging strategic platforms
    • Responsible for Client Issue Management Enterprise Experience Pilot - Ensure short term and long-term solutions are identified and execution plans progress to support client needs
    • Accountable to lead cross UHG effort to reconcile issue definition discrepancies between UHC and Optum
    • Responsible to support, cross train, and simplify OEIM's CBA and benefits realization and reporting process with Optum Finance and OEIM Portfolio lead
    • Establish and coordinate Optum Enterprise "Better Together" Cross-Capability Concept to drive more consistent and collaborative approaches with Optum business partnersYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree
      • 10+ years of experience in a diverse background of user experience, technology and business operations using workflow and in a highly matrixed and complex organization
      • Solid leadership presence, proven experience to communicate, influence, and negotiate
      • Demonstrated skill to apply data & insights to solve business problems and influence solutions
      • Proven track record to lead a diverse team and achieve high engagement scores
      • Ability to align key stakeholders and drive prioritization through collaborative process
      • Experience working in operations and/or leading workflow process tools & technology teams
      • Experience leading a diverse virtual team, achieving high engagement scores with a focus on employee developmentPreferred Qualifications:
        • Master's degree or other business certifications related to process improvement or Agile delivery
        • Six Sigma Certification
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
