The Director Learning - Anthem Provider Data Operations (APDO) is responsible for developing and executing the multi-year performance-based learning strategy specific to the APDO organization.-- The Director will lead the creation and sustainment of the learning organization's mission and vision, ensuring alignment with the APDO business objectives and Anthem's Enterprise Learning priorities. Through a performance consulting lens, the Director partners with business stakeholders to ensure solutions align to root cause in order to drive business outcomes. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:--

  • Serves as the primary learning leader and point of contact providing solutions to the APDO organization to drive increased effectiveness, with a view toward understanding and application of industry best practices.--
  • Partners with other learning organization functions and the Enterprise learning organization to deliver integrated, performance-based learning solutions aligned to business objectives and organizational core values.
  • Ensures complete understanding of business educational needs, capability gaps, and opportunities by building internal trust and relationships with leaders within APDO at all levels, including the Quality organization.--
  • Champions the learning organization's capabilities with functional leadership to strengthen understanding of learning strategies.
  • Conducts the analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of performance-based learning solutions, ranging from business acumen, coaching, functional, technical, and product knowledge, and leader/manager development to drive the goals of the business.
  • Ensures the linkage of learning into selection, performance management, compensation, and talent planning through leveraging or developing competency frameworks.
  • Proactively identifies and diagnoses business issues, leverages business data to determine high-level performance improvement needs, and prioritizes learning projects based on client requirements. Translates strategies into specific goals, tactics, action plans, and deliverables while ensuring operational effectiveness & efficiencies.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports. Qualifications The health of our associates and communities is a top priority for Anthem.     • Requires a BA/BS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, Training and Development, Instructional Technology, Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 10 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Qualifications:
      • Advanced degree or professional learning and development certification preferred
      • Experience creating an energized learning environment that attracts and enables individuals' best thinking and work, via human centered-design approaches
      • Strong ability to inspire, develop, empower and motivate individuals and teams to their highest level of achievement with a focus on measurable results--
