Senior Manager, Accelerator Innovation - Marketing Location Atlanta, Georgia, United States Position Title: Senior Manager, Accelerator Innovation - Marketing Location: Atlanta, GA Reports to: VP, Marketing -CF1 The Senior Manager, Innovation Marketing leads the consumer, trend and marketplace insight discovery and translates into an innovation strategy for new category product development. They will proactively identify knowledge gaps, uncover insights, and drive learnings to action with R+D partners to scope innovation whitespace development. This role requires excellent strategic thinking, the ability to transform data and insights into actionable business initiatives, and leading cross-functional teams. This role will report to the VP of Marketing. Specific Responsibilities Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Innovation

    • Works collaboratively with R&D and Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) to scope new areas/whitespaces
    • Accelerates ideation in new areas/categories + identifies robust pipeline of products with differentiated features and benefits
    • Develops innovation concepts and prioritizes ideas and steward them from idea to concept to business case
    • Effectively creates and presents a robust business case aligning executive leadership to the innovation strategy Insights
        • Familiar with consumer insights techniques and develops a strong working knowledge of target consumers, key equities, unmet needs, and evolving consumer trends and requirements
        • Partners with CMI to develop + utilize an agile approach to research whitespaces for brand(s) expansion
        • Understands key business, brand, and quality KPIs and uses them to assess business performance
        • Develops deep category and shopper knowledge to understand the path to purchase
        • Understands ecommerce/digital marketing and key omnichannel growth drivers Strategy
            • Performs analysis of business category, customer and consumer needs, and available technology capabilities to determine recommendations for growth/white space development
            • Partners with the Marketing VP to develop clear innovation proposition, target consumer segments, pricing, and winning aspiration compared to competition
            • Drives key brand and innovation initiatives that effectively reach and connect with target consumers
            • Outlines growth strategy succinctly and effectively in business case creation Pricing
                • Analyzes shopper insights and market data to recommend pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails for key SKUs or categories.
                • Utilizes product, pack configurations and brand architecture to optimize price ladder.
                • Understands the relationship between pricing measures and brand equity
                • Identifies key promotional windows based on target consumer behavior Brand Communication
                    • Identifies key issues and opportunities through a business review and builds marketing plans and communications objectives to drive profitable sales growth across channels
                    • Leverages integrated touchpoints (product, packaging, advertising, website, digital media, promotions, PR, etc.) to reach target consumers
                    • Helps Equity and Activation manager brief agencies on communication objectives, advertising, and media plans
                    • Develops compelling product launch plans and materials (including packaging, pos material, ATF and BTF content, product copy) to excite sales, customers, and consumers People Development/Team Leadership
                        • Sets clear objectives and prioritizes initiatives for self and team. Assigns clear projects and tasks to direct reports and coaches and develops their skills.
                        • Leads and inspires cross functional team with clear vision and objectives, with underlying sense of urgency
                        • Collaborates with brand management peers to develop categories + build brand portfolio
                        • Performs as a change agent while working collaboratively with cross-functional leads to identify opportunities to improve critical business processes and performance
                        • Present themselves in a professional manner in both written and verbal communication to all levels of the organization Qualifications
                            • Four-year college degree, MBA prefferred
                            • 6-10 years of product development management experience
                            • 3+ years of experience managing people
                            • Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams and influence others
                            • Demonstrated success working in a complex, matrixed environment
                            • Strong written and oral communication skills, effective time manager, and self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. Job Requirements
                              • Up to 10-15% travel may be required at a future date.
