At Cisco, you will lead and build a team that is responsible for the innovation and end-to-end launch of SecureX. You will be a key player in leading our engineering efforts and helping to build products that implement our product portfolio vision and strategy. The SecureX engineering team is looking for a strong, collaborative Leader with energy and enthusiasm for technology and security. As someone who will be leading the product ownership team, you will play a significant role in definition the playbook this team will adopt to delivering high-quality security solutions by collaborating with key stakeholders and development teams.--You understand that what is being asked is not always the answer and will seek to find the best outcomes for our customers. You will look to apply lean startup principles to validate the growth and value potential in all that we do. As a leader, you will work on the organizational and technical challenges that come with scaling a team and our teams' ability to deliver. You will represent and lead the team by providing input on and making decisions about team direction and projects. You will mentor and develop the team through meaningful career development and continuous feedback. You will review high-level workflows and engagement strategies to effectively build the roadmap and execute on this to delivery features. You will be responsible for helping build out the team by recruiting and interviewing. You will be exposed to numerous domains; Security, Threat Hunting, UI Dashboarding and UX along with deployment and production operations and all parts of the stack. Who You'll Work With Our SecureX team is a cloud-native, built-in platform experience that connects our Cisco Secure portfolio and customers' infrastructure. It is integrated and open for simplicity, unified in one location for visibility, and maximizes operational efficiency with automated workflows. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with our customers, internal stakeholders and delivery teams to analyze market problems and build prioritized backlogs. You will collaborate hands-on with engineering teams to define, design and deliver innovative security solutions. You will also be helping coordinate product strategy, release timelines, and product quality.--You will follow our solutions to our customers and will work with the people and departments on the way to ensure success. Who You Are You can build collaborative relationships and operating models with Product Managers to deliver on the organization's product vision and strategy. You have experience analyzing and breaking down business problems into deliverable increments that align with the vision and strategy. You can work with one or more teams to delivery timely, quality releases that provide high business value and exceed customer expectations. You have strong experience with Agile principles and can drive our engineering and process improvement efforts utilizing Agile/Lean Processes. You are experienced in facilitating and breaking down problems in cases where the requirements gathering becomes complex. You have experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders to define and execute comprehensive plans for customer feedback (Alpha, Beta, etc.). You have developed prioritized product backlog by writing user stories and defining priorities for the development team. You validate value and outcomes for your customers. You work with your team to understand the mission and believe that deep team ownership results in better success. You appreciate the feedback from your team members and factor that into the backlog to get the best outcomes for our customers. You possess an inner level of confidence that allows you to lead some days and follow others based on what is needed for the desired outcomes. You are an active learner on a journey with no set destination. You can coordinate activities with other departments such as Operations, Customer Support and Sales Engineering to deliver new product functionality. You can serve as the product subject matter expert that is the liaison between engineering and all other departments.-- Minimum Qualifications: --- 7+ years' experience as a Product Owner designing or developing software --- Experience working in an Agile/Lean software environment --- Experience in leading process improvement efforts-- --- Understanding of data modeling, object modeling, and OO design principles --- Demonstrates initiative and competence; supports and encourages positive working behaviors in others --- Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills --- A strong believe in leading by example --- A high-level of emotional intelligence and empathy for others --- Understanding of how to balance product request and deadlines against internal priorities --- A focused, organized approach to building out a product through rapid iterations --- Passion for user experience --- Balance of technical knowledge with business acumen --- Customer first, ABCD mind set --- Excellent communication skills with the ability engage, influence and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment Why Cisco #WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
