• Director - Communications Planning & Buying Director - Communications Planning & Buying Georgia-Pacific Consumer Business aims to further strengthen the Consumer Experience team based in Atlanta, GA through the addition of a Director, Communications Planning & Media Buying. The Consumer Business within Georgia-Pacific focuses on building iconic American brands with consumers and retail customers. Our brands include Dixie--, Vanity Fair--, Brawny--, Sparkle--, Angel Soft--, and Quilted Northern--. The Director, Communications Planning & Media Buying role drives Paid Media strategy to achieve brand objectives by applying knowledge of multiple touchpoints including: TV, Social, Digital Audio, Digital Display, and Online Video. Additionally, this role will partner with other parts of Consumer Experience such as omnichannel shopper marketing, content, data driven marketing and others to drive fully integrated experiences for all brands.-- This role will report to the Sr. Director, Integrated Brand Activation The Director, Communications Planning & Media Buying Media is a subject matter expert resource supporting all Brand Building efforts for the GP Consumer Products. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for supporting total communications strategy and providing cohesive Consumer Experience POVs on channels/investments to brand building teams--
  • Direct ownership of media A&C planning/investment--
  • Provide thought leadership to organization on Media landscape--
  • Ensure collaboration across all Media capabilities (planning, Attention/in-house buying agency, search), social, DDM and other CX capabilities--
  • Drive transformation by establishing and reinforcing team priorities within Integrated Brand Activation vision, advancing team knowledge base, and setting Media POV for the portfolio
  • Collaborate with Media Strategy Leads, Brand Building, Omni-channel shopper, and Publishers (Retail & Brand) to negotiate upfront deals to benefit GP & customers
  • Partner with Consumer Knowledge & Analytics to establish, track, and optimize Media to actionable leading and lagging measures--
  • Negotiate agency SOWs and maintain consistent communication with Brand Building and Agency teams to ensure delivery of promised value-- The Experience You Will Bring
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 8 years of Media and/or Communications Strategy experience on agency- or brand-side What Will Put You Ahead
