Director IT Infrastructure- Windows Job Introduction The Manager of Windows Information Technology is responsible for leadership of a technology department to include utilization of resources and capabilities of IT services. They coordinate the efforts of the team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the business. They create and enforce standards and ensure that solutions meet company guidelines as well as the customer's needs.Role Responsibility - Manage the day-to-day operations of an IT team, inclusive of administrative staff oversight, team goal setting, performance reviews, staff augmentation, performance improvement and planning/directing all activities of the individuals in their charge - Prepares and monitors budgets for each area of functional responsibility - Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion - Fulfills Departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personal absence - Performs at or above the enterprise's IT evaluation standards - Trains, supervises, assigns projects to and is responsible for hiring/termination of staff to maintain optimum performance of job duties - Prepares and administers performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments for staff - Enforces departmental operating procedures, applicable security procedures and support/practice needs to ensure that the quality of service provided meets and/or exceeds customer requirements - Participate in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity - Provide career counseling and professional development support - Provide leadership to team by communicating vision, strategies and objectives to employees Key Performance Indicators - Team is regarded as competent, knowledgeable and productive as determined by their customers - Exhibited strong and effective communication skills with customers, team members, management and peers - Provide effective team leadership, developing employees demonstrated by feedback, performance management review process Technologies Utilized & Team Duties: * Experience using PowerShell heavily in production environment. * ADFS setup/rollout / admin advance level experience * A/D integration with other products for authentication * Exchange 2010 and above troubleshooting and performance tuning * Citrix advance administration and analysis (performance tune/debug issues) * VDI tuning and monitoring performance, Capacity planning * Setting up monitoring and alerting Tools for Windows OS and applications (e.g. .Net apps; SQL Server stress points for OS) * Experience implementing Best practices in Clustering in OS's in VMware and Hyper-V environments * VMware implementation in heavy loads environments such as transactional Databases * Enterprise Patch management and security policies for Windows Server Farms (e.g. PCI, SOX, CSI security standards) - Technical troubleshooting of issues across all platforms within the data centers. - Monitor and maintain Software Platforms: Windows 2008 and 2012 Server, Enterprise Backup, Symantec Antivirus, Active Directory, Symantec Management Platform - Monitor and maintain hardware Platforms: HP Proliant, HP Blade Systems, Dell PowerEdge - Build servers and systems according to specifications on both physical and VMWare including VDI images - Extensive knowledge of SAN and networking attached blade chassis technology connected across multiple VLans (DMZ, management, backup) - Work with Operations Department, Database Management, and Product Development teams for technical matters and problem resolution of any client issues - Strong knowledge of MS IIS and .NET internal and externally facing web application from a deployment and support perspective - Manage the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all Windows servers, hardware, software and peripherals. - Accurately communicates project status to Director and VP of Infrastructure - Provide timely, detailed, and accurate resolution for all issues/projects assigned. - Develop and maintain procedures for MS Clustering - Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. - Lead the repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. - Perform other job-related responsibilities as required.The Ideal Candidate Requirements and Skills Microsoft Exchange 2010-2019 Powershell Citrix VMware Virtualization SKYPE Active Directory Experience with Storage Area Networking (SAN) Ability to communicate orally and written in a professional manner Works well with local and remote teams. Good time management skills to multitask many projects Server Hardware Knowledge Exceptional Mentoring/Coaching skillset Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills required to diagnose, isolate and resolve problems Microsoft Certified Professional File system sharing and data transfer techniques Backup Software Technologies Good Project Management Skills Strong Experience managing and supporting Enterprise Production Environment.
