Platform Engineer-MFT Administrator

The Platform Engineer (Sterling MFT Administrator) will develop
file transfer routes using Cox Automotive Enterprise Platform
Sterling File Gateway and Sterling Integrator tool sets.
The role will interact directly with internal and external
customers to gather requirements, design solutions, troubleshoot
routes during QA testing as well as Production routes, promote
configurations to Production and monitor and replay failed
Experience with Sterling MFT tools or other MFT systems would be a
Sterling - Incident, Change and Problem Management
Bi-Weekly Sterling Platform on-call responsibility
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Analyze, review and create processes to improve and enhance
services and products. Knowledge of file transmission protocols:
SFTP, SSH, FTPS and HTTPS.
- Knowledge of IBM Managed File Transfer products including
Sterling Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling File
- Possess knowledge of data encryption, SSL/TLS, shell scripting
and batch file programs to create successful file transfer
- Create procedural documentation utilized by team.
- Monitor and maintain daily workflow by guiding and assisting
others as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve processing, software, and hardware
- Participate in a weekly on call rotation to provide system and
file transmission support.
- Monitor systems, email requests for support and production
incidents that must be resolved during on call shift.
Experience with Sterling MFT tools or other MFT systems
would be a plus; however, these skills will also be achieved
through on the job
learning and guidance.
Two or more years
experience in the following:
Programming Experience Any Language,
Line; XML / xpath, Regular Expressions (REGEX),
FTP, FTPS, SFTP
SSH public vs private
use; host vs. user key, SSL certificates system vs. user;
Balancers, Firewalls, Databases, FileSystems; Virtual Servers.
