The MES/Automation Engineer conceptualizes, designs, constructs, tests, implements, and documents industrial applications, databases, and information systems that meet requirements and team standards. There will also be a focus on developing not only your technical skills but also your project management skills for the future. Travel up to 20% may be required. Information-based projects at PREMIER leverage a variety of technologies such as: C#/VB.NETSQL ServerASP.NETJSONJQuerySSRSWCFOPCIndustrial HMI/MES systemsProgrammable ControllersBarcode scannersRFIDMachine vision MES/Automation Engineer Requirements: A minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university Minimum 3 years MES Application experience Expertise in MES design, development, and implementation Experience with customer requirements and specification development Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly Must be able to work successfully in a matrix structure, focused strongly on customer service and personnel growth Must have experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment Must have solid verbal and written communication skills Must have a strong work ethic and be willing to travel up to 20% of the time Must be willing to work in a plant environment up to 30% of the time Successful completion of drug screen and background check is required MES/Automation Engineer Pluses: Experience with Wonderware IAS and MES API scripting is a plus Experience with MS SQL Server, including SSRS a plus Experience with .NET development (C# preferred) Other MES platform experience is a plus (i.e. Rockwell and/or Parsec) Why Work at PREMIER?
