Job Description Experienced Trailer Mechanic Wanted at Family-Owned Transportation Company• Trailer MechanicAbout This Position3 years' experience required. Service airbrakes and routine maintenance on hoppers and tankers. Welding is a plus but not mandatory. Benefits and uniforms provided after 60 days.Core ResponsibilitiesInspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components; performing preventative maintenance measuresChecking and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systemsMaintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required; inspecting, servicing, and replacing trailer parts, including tiresDamage repair and welding for major jobsConducting safety inspections to meet Department of Transportation standardsKey Skills & AttributesTrailer mechanics are skilled tradespeople who specialize in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the components and systems of trailers, tractors, and other vehicles used for hauling large goods.
