Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electrical Engineer
II Location: White, GA (On-site) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary:
$130,000 - $140,000 annually (based on experience) Company
Introduction This role is with a billion-dollar global tire
manufacturing company operating a state-of-the-art, highly
automated production facility in White, Georgia. The plant spans
over 2 million square feet and utilizes proprietary automated
production technology to manufacture millions of premium passenger
car and light truck tires annually for the North American market.
The company has operated in Georgia for over 20 years, investing
hundreds of millions of dollars in multiple facility expansions and
employing over 1,000 people at the White, GA location. The facility
has been recognized as a Georgia Manufacturer of the Year and holds
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. The manufacturing
environment features advanced PLC- controlled automation, servo
systems, and cutting-edge production equipment. This position is
ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who thrives in a
high-volume, heavily automated manufacturing environment, has deep
expertise in PLC programming and controls systems, and wants to
make a direct impact on production reliability and efficiency at a
world-class facility. Role Overview The Electrical Engineer II is a
hands-on, technically advanced role responsible for designing,
maintaining, and improving large-scale electrical systems and
automated machinery in a high-volume tire manufacturing
environment. This individual will work directly with controls,
production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure electrical
systems, and automation equipment operate at peak performance and
reliability. Success in this role requires deep expertise in PLC
programming (strong preference for Mitsubishi PLCs), motion control
systems, servo programming, and advanced electrical troubleshooting
down to the component level. The ideal candidate brings 7–10 years
of hands-on electrical engineering experience in manufacturing, is
comfortable leading projects from concept through implementation,
and can work across departments to drive continuous improvement in
equipment uptime and production efficiency. Candidates with tire
manufacturing experience are of particular interest, though strong
experience in other high-volume, automated manufacturing
environments will be considered. Core Responsibilities Design,
develop, and improve large-scale electrical systems and machinery
used in high-volume tire manufacturing and production. Oversee the
testing, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment to
ensure optimal performance and safety. Design or modify electrical
control systems to boost machine reliability, productivity, and
uptime. Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC and servo control
programs, with strong preference for Mitsubishi PLC experience.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues down
to the component level. Calibrate electrical systems and components
to ensure optimal performance across production equipment. Identify
and repair faults in PLC systems, motion control systems, and
automated production equipment. Collaborate with vendors,
contractors, engineers, and maintenance teams to ensure systems
meet design and operational standards. Leverage computer-aided
design (CAD) tools and engineering software to develop and refine
electrical system designs. Partner with planning and design teams
to ensure equipment and tooling support efficient, high-quality
production. Evaluate equipment proposals, specifications, and
technical manuals to assess feasibility and recommend improvements.
Lead engineering teams in building test equipment and developing
procedures for system testing and validation. Monitor installations
and recommend design changes to prevent malfunctions and improve
system reliability. Use data and statistical methods to forecast
equipment capabilities and support long-term manufacturing goals.
Manage projects from initial concept through full implementation,
coordinating across multiple departments. Work with vendors and
contractors to source parts, equipment, and services efficiently
and cost-effectively. Required Background Bachelors degree in
Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology
(BSEET) from an accredited four-year college or university. 7 to 10
years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering roles,
preferably in manufacturing, power systems, or related industries.
Strong foundation in both theory and practical application of
electrical systems, controls, and automation. Proven ability to
work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, technical
environments. Advanced troubleshooting ability — capable of
diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and mechanical issues
to the component level. Proficiency in programming and
troubleshooting motion control systems, with strong preference for
Mitsubishi PLC experience. Ability to read, interpret,
troubleshoot, and modify complex PLC and servo control programs.
Experience designing or modifying electrical control systems to
improve machine reliability and productivity. Capable of
calibrating electrical systems and components for optimal
performance. Experienced in identifying and repairing faults in PLC
systems. Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools.
Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional
collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and
coordinate across teams. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and
holidays as needed to support operations. Compensation & Perks
Competitive base salary up to $140,000 annually, based on
experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance available for
qualified candidates with 10 years of manufacturing experience.
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. Life insurance,
short-term and long-term disability coverage. Matching 401(K)
retirement plan. Paid time off. Hospital indemnity, critical
illness, and accident insurance. HSA and FSA options. Pet
insurance. Childcare benefits (TOOTRiS). Homebuyer program. Car
buying program. Opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art, 2M
square foot manufacturing facility with cutting-edge automation
technology. Stable, long-term employment with a billion-dollar
global manufacturer operating in 100 countries.
