Civil Engineer-Transportation/Roadway DesignAtlantaSalary
$75,000-$105,000wendyc@selectek.comRoadway/Highway Design Engineer
for our Atlanta office with a comprehensive understanding of
principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and
standards and their application as it relates to transportation
engineering. This position may also require work on project sites
including investigation of existing conditions: traffic counts,
field measurements, photographs, and field sketches, as well as
field visits during construction tomonitor progress, investigation
of changed field conditions, and necessary performance of
measurements for contract plan changesRequired:2+ years experience
requiredBS or MS in Civil EngineeringEngineer in Training
registration is preferred, or ability to acquire within 12 months
of employmentGDOT plan development experienceProficiency with
Bentley MicroStation, and Microsoft Office requiredWorking
knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer a plusJob
Details:Coordinating with other disciplines to include bridge,
environmental, survey, and traffic.Demonstrating time management
skills.Maintaining effective communication with project team
members and the clientParticipating in planning, cost development
and management, and scheduling.Attending and participating in
client meetings, team meetings and collaborating with
multidisciplinary teams.Performing quality control.Performing
design calculations.Performing drainage and MS4 design.Assist in
proposal preparation.Assist Project Managers and Engineers in
preparing project documentation including construction documents,
site plans and drainage reports in accordance with Federal, State
and local requirements.Assist Project Managers and Engineers with
cost estimating, reports, coordinating with clients and the
permitting process.Assist Project Managers and Engineers with
construction administration duties, e.g., RFI, submittal review,
document controls, record drawings, construction engineering
inspections.Conduct in-person site visits and assessments.
