Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• 
  Act as the lead engineer on client pod(s)
  
  
• 
  Provide Azure subject matter expertise advice and assistance to client
  
  
• 
  Deployment, configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of Azure platform services
  
  
• 
  Maintaining high availability through proactive measures
  
  
• 
  Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  
  
• 
  Ensuring client & partners are updated on status of work and issues
  
  
• 
  Raise, investigate, and resolve problems and known errors in line with the problem management process
  
  
• 
  Ability and willingness to proactively improve ways of working
  
  
• 
  Partake in an on-call rotation to provide 24--7 support for the client
  
  
• 
  Proactively keep up to date on Azure services and developments
  
  
• 
  Mentor new members of the team
  
  
  Skills and Experience
  
  • 
    
  • 
    5+ years' experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g. high profile websites or enterprise infrastructure) essential
    
    
  • 
    2+ years' experience of engineering, architecting, or supporting Azure solutions
    
    
  • 
    Excellent Azure PaaS knowledge (e.g. Web Apps, Function Apps, SQL MI, CosmosDB)
    
    
  • 
    MUST HAVES : Azure Web Apps, Azure Service Plans, Azure Application Gateway
    
    
  • 
    Experience of implementing and supporting Azure based services (e.g. WAF, Application Gateway, Application Insights, Azure Cache for Redis, Custom Domains, IAM, RBAC, AKS, NSG, Key Vaults, Azure Monitor, etc.)
    
    
  • 
    Hold and keep current Azure Associate and Professional level Certifications
    
    
  • 
    Scripting ability in one or more of Python, Powershell, Bash, Perl
    
    
  • 
    Experience of CI/CD pipeline technology useful or can be gained (e.g. Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub)
    
    
  • 
    Good knowledge of TCP/IP
    
    
  • 
    A degree in a computing-related discipline preferred or equivalent ability and knowledge
    
    
  • 
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    
    
  • 
    Experience working in an ITIL environment beneficial
    
    
  • 
    Desire to continually grow, develop and improve
    
    
  • 
    Must be independent, self-motivated, a self-starter and possess a good working attitude
