Job Description:
Under broad supervision, combines strong technical skills with
knowledge of database administration. Works on one or more projects
of high complexity. Provides technical support to development team
members.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced understanding of routers, firewalls, and network protocols
(Meraki and Cisco Firepower)
Configures and supports WAN and Internet circuits and virtual
private network connections (VPN)
Assist with the planning, implementation, and operation of network
infrastructure projects and Network
Management System(s)
Supports network authentication, remote access, and
cloud-connectivity (Azure)
Document all changes to system settings and configurations
Monitors the network for uptime, utilization, latency, and
overall
Support wireless network Infrastructure
Maximize network performance by monitoring, scheduling upgrades,
and collaborating with other team
members
Create technical documentation on all system designs
Review ongoing network security and identify potential risks
Server as an escalation point for junior staff and plays as a key
resource for problem determination and
resolution for other IT teams throughout the agency
Familiar with SCCM\MECM configuration and Administration
Proficient with public key infrastructure (PKI) policies, needed to
create, manage, distribute, use, store and
revoke digital certificates and manage public-key encryption
Occasional emergency after-hours support for Infrastructure outages
(generally ISP issues)
Create and maintain Azure cloud resource inventories
Manage Azure Active Directory, including security groups and
resource access
Create and maintain virtual networks and VPN gateways to mediate
access to cloud environments
Monitor deployed cloud resources for capacity management and
scaling purposes
Manage the security of cloud environments
Must have attention to detail to ensure that all systems function
properly
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Ensures the uptime, performance, resource availability, and
security of the networks managed within
operational guidelines.
Must have strong analytical skills, find flaws, and opportunities
for improvement
Must be a team player, but also be self-motivated and able to work
independently
Required Qualifications:
Advanced understanding of Meraki and Cisco Firepower equipment
Strong Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Administration
Extensive experience in Microsoft 365 administration and
support
Strong PowerShell Scripting
Ability to accomplish tasks both independently and
collaboratively
Knowledge of hybrid Active Directory environment and Microsoft 365
integrations
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office productivity apps and
other Microsoft tools
Microsoft Windows Server administration experience
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in
writing
Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal customer service
skills
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to make logical and evidence-based decisions in a diverse
environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Minimum Qualifications-Education and General Experience
Associate's degree in programming/systems, computer science or
mathematics from an accredited college or university with
specialized training or certification.
Demonstrate critical thinking\problem solving skills.
DCA is seeking local local candidates only. This position includes
a flexible remote schedule with periodic visits to the Atlanta
office when requested.
