The RoleMicromeritics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a small, fast-moving group designing high-performance analytical instruments used around the world. The successful candidate will share skills and experience with the team to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of a wide variety of industries and research institutions.Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other electrical and mechanical engineers to design instrument components and subsystems to meet customer needs and performance requirements
  • Produce CAD models and drawings with SolidWorks
  • Optimize designs through simulations
  • Communicate with internal and external fabricators to ensure that parts meet performance and cost requirements
  • Participate in design review
  • Support the Manufacturing and Service departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
    Background Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mechatronics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Experience: At least 2+ years of mechanical or mechatronics experience is required. Must be proficient with SolidWorks. Experience using FEA and CFD simulations to optimize designs is highly desirable.
    Knowledge & Skills:
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks
    • Experience with FEA and CFD simulations
    • Experience interacting with vendors and fabrication houses
    • Electrical and software skills are desirable.
