Repair and Maintain Equipment. Perform routine maintenance,
calibration, perform all repair work, preventative/predictive
maintenance, and after-hours call-out tasks on plant
instrumentation while upholding the highest levels of craftsmanship
and compliance with Vulcan's safety policies. Troubleshoot
Equipment. Troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining
instrumentation and electronic equipment in the field, documenting
changes and improvements to create record of progress and generate
database for historical review and learning materials for others
across the company. Ensure Compliance. Maintain integrity and
physical organization of existing systems and make/ suggest
improvements wherever possible. Maintain calibration of
instrumentation devices on prescribed intervals to meet or
supersede OEM specifications. Collaborate with Others. Support of
specific projects or initiatives to support the Company's
operational reliability. Participate in multidisciplinary teams to
identify and evaluate needs and improvements for increased
reliability and production efficiency. Communicate progress related
to tasks assigned and request additional support when required
Provide Internal Support. Supervise and/or train contractors on
applicable Vulcan policies and expectation of craftsmanship. Take
ownership of plant instrumentation hardware and software, and
improvement initiatives by bringing positive team and cooperative
spirit to tackle challenges and opportunities. Skills You'll Need:
Experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in the instrumentation
and/or control fields supporting an aggregate operation or related
processing or heavy industry is preferred. Communication Skills.
Must possess excellent oral communication skills. Must possess
strong written communication skills to develop communication
regarding technical matters, including writing test procedures.
Technology Skills. Must be able to use telephone, fax machines, lab
equipment, computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices.
Must be able to operate motorized vehicles. Product Knowledge. Must
possess a high degree of product knowledge and end-use
applications. Must have an understanding of VMC quality information
system. Must understand and be familiar with mix design
characteristics and various product specifications. Interpersonal
Skills. Must possess strong verbal communication skills for dealing
with plant production personnel, plant managers, contractors, and
