Full-time Description PARAPROFESSIONAL FULL TIME FY 2026-2027
Canton, GA Cherokee Classical Academy seeks full-time
Paraprofessionals. The Lower School Paraprofessional supports
teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and
social-emotional needs of students with disabilities in the
classroom and community. They are expected to demonstrate high
moral character and work collaboratively to create a working and
learning environment for all students that is safe, secure, and
respectful. This position would report to the Director of Student
Services on Cherokee Classical Academy’s Cherokee County campus.
This position starts July 2026. The responsibilities of this role
include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide classical
pedagogical support to students with disabilities in-line with the
school’s mission and the IEP Provides small group and/or
individualized instruction to students with disabilities in
accordance with the supervising teachers' lesson plans. Collects
instructional and behavioral data for all objectives being taught
for each student. Implements Behavior Intervention Plans for
students with disabilities. Facilitate communication about students
with disabilities between General Education and Special Education
Teachers. Assists students as necessary with physical needs,
including mobility. Qualified candidates will meet the following
requirements: Associate's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED with
passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test required
Two to three years experience working as a paraprofessional with
children with disabilities, or comparable experience required Valid
Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate preferred Strong candidates
will support the school’s Mission: to develop students in mind and

emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning,

Academy: Cherokee Classical Academy (CCA) is a tuition-free public
charter school that opened in 2025 in Canton, GA. CCA is open to
grades K-7 for the 2026-2027 school year and will continue to add a
grade each year until reaching a full K-12 configuration. Families

Pickens, Paulding, and the cities of Marietta, Cartersville, and
