(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. Located in Taylorsville, NC, this contract position
offers an opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to
support students in a school setting. The role is set to begin on
April 1, 2026, continuing through May 29, 2026, with an extension
through the 2026-2027 school year. The schedule is Monday through
Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 35 hours per week. The
caseload involves serving Troutman Elementary with a ratio of 1.1,
ensuring focused and meaningful communication for the students. Key
qualifications and requirements include: Must be a Licensed Sign
Language Interpreter (SLI). EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is
required. Candidates holding RID certification are also eligible to
interpret without the EIPA credential. Candidates must be prepared
to arrive before the students arrival each day. Onsite work only;
no remote or virtual interpretation opportunities (NO TO VOCO).
Responsibilities include facilitating effective communication
between students and educators, supporting classroom instruction,
and ensuring accessibility for students requiring sign language
