will have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in interior
design or a related field. The Interior Designer is responsible for
managing design projects and leading design teams, performing
design work, participating in design control of projects, and is

career with us! A Day in the Life as an Interior Designer: this
person will be an active contributor in all phases of the design
process, managing projects, implementing design excellence, and
providing quality design research and outputs. Here is a list of
other responsibilities related to your role an Interior Designer:
Manage interior design projects in all phases of the design
process, including programming, schematic design, design
development, construction documentation, and construction
administration. Create project proposals, manage design budgets
throughout the life of a project, and organize project staffing.
Coordinate and review consultant drawings for adherence to design
vision and constructability. Select and present furniture,
furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes,
and decorative lighting. Perform field verification of existing
spaces and documentation as needed. Support business development
activities as necessary Mentor design team members and foster a
culture of growth and design thinking Meet with external
consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and
fabricators Support all market sectors in design and documentation
of various project types. Requirements About You: The
qualifications of an Interior Designer are multi-faceted. The
ability to lead design projects, and teams, effectively and
confidently, to prioritize and execute tasks with many competing
priorities, and absorb new ideas and concepts quickly is a key
skill for the Interior Designer. Here is a list of other required
skills: Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field Five
(5) years interior design experience in various project types
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop,
Illustrator, InDesign) software Advanced knowledge of
computer-aided design (CAD) software: Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio
Max and other modeling software programs Experience with Newforma
Project Center, Prolog Project Manager, or Primavera Systems
Expedition software would be preferred. NCIDQ Certified, or ability
to become certified preferred Advanced knowledge of finishes,
materials, color selections, furniture, and specifications
Excellent story-telling skills, verbal and written, to convey
concepts and visions to internal and external clients. Good
analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to
detail Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity Active
participation in industry professional organizations Ready to
