Job Description:

The East Group Marketing and Proposal Manager role is a supervisory position. The individual in this role has overall responsibility and accountability for the marketing and proposals including quality of marketing collateral and proposals for the East Group and will work closely with the East Group S&D Leader.--This Group-level marketing position provides leadership and direction to the marketing and proposal resources in the North, Central and Southeast Regions of the East Group. Key focus areas include the Virtual Proposal Team, Collateral and Industry Engagement. The position also performs a key communication role between the Group President and East Group employees.-- Summary of responsibilities include: The direction provided is broad and spans the spectrum of MARCOM and Proposals with the goals of quality, consistency and efficiency. Some specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and support of RE MARCOM and Proposal Center initiatives
  • Proposal load leveling across the East Group
  • Quality standards adherence
  • Process and resource efficiency and standardization
  • Proposal training and mentoring
  • Proposal statistics and analysis
  • Resume and project profile creations, updates and data sharing
  • Proposal-related competitor analysis
  • Brand and tone of voice understanding, training and usage
  • LinkedIn post creation, design, training and approval
  • Social media procedure and template understanding and adherence
  • Conference guidance and support
  • Recruiting event guidance and support
  • Creation and publication of Monthly Operations Update
  • East US SharePoint site Owner
  • East US Marketing SharePoint site Owner Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Maintain list of all active proposals, pre-qualifications and other customer responses with status and submission dates for assigned business
    • Support and contribute to the continual improvement of proposal procedures and processes
    • Take end-to-end ownership and command of proposal development and related support processes and procedures, including written proposals, oral presentations, Best and Final Offers, Evaluation Notices, Final Proposal Revisions, etc.
    • Manage Proposal Leads and Coordinators for their assigned part of the business including the coordination of workload (allocation of assignments), quality of output, ensure expectations and goals are clear and business is supported
    • Evaluate job performance of Proposal Leads and Proposal Coordinators of respective business Ensure incorporation of proposal best practices into all customer responses for respective business Oversee/support pre-proposal positioning where appropriate, as well as proposal development strategies and implementation. This includes development of capture plan and proposal planning document development, facilitation of strategy sessions to develop the win strategy and theme/value proposition for proposals.
    • Maintain East Group SharePoint Site. Work with other functional leadership (P&O, Quality, S&D, Safety, etc.) to maintain relevant and up to date content. Work with East Group President to publish information relevant to East Group business and communicate across East Group as needed.
    • Work with staff to support development of Marketing Collateral and maintain information in SharePoint site.
    • Work with S&D lead, Operations Leadership, and SMEs to support industry engagement and branding of local and regional operations.
    • An instrumental member of the BU marcomms team and partner to the business, takes ownership of key messages and their delivery. Focused on the development and delivery of creative, timely and meaningful content in support of functional marketing communications plans and business objectives
    • Leads the development and execution of marketing and communications plans for business and service lines, and is a major contributor to the East Group marketing and communications strategy
    • Take complex, technical topics and turn them into compelling content; exceptional written and verbal communications skills; proofreading and editing capability.
    • Identifies and develops compelling, relevant stories from around the business consistently
    • Acutely understands the relevant business sectors and can create crisp content marketing material and establish opportunities to position Wood and it's leaders as an authoritative commentator. Writing creative briefs, considering campaign design and implementation, storyboarding, content channel planning. Skills / Qualifications Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related majors preferred
      • Minimum Eight (10) years marketing and proposal experience with similar firms preferred Knowledge, skills and experience:
        • Technical and/or engineering consulting support experience preferred
        • Thorough understanding of and ability to implement industry best practices and Proposals/Marketing techniques
        • Ability to manage projects, interface with customer representatives, interpret customer/stakeholder requirements, manage customer/stakeholder expectations, plan work load, organize proposals team resources and deliver on agreed deadlines
        • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat; Proficiency with SharePoint and lnDesign is desired. Personal attributes:
