    Job Summary

    Provide office support services within a campus unit to include organizing and preparing correspondence, reports and other documentation; scheduling meetings and events; file maintenance, and related administrative activities; and assisting customers with their service needs. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, vendors and office visitorsThis position typically will advise and counsel: NA This position will supervise: NA

    Job Summary

    Responsible for performing administrative duties for the required Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Compliance Certification Report (CCR).


    Job Duty 1 -
    Compose routine correspondence; prepare and route correspondence, reports and other documentation.Job Duty 2 -
    Compile and organize data for use in reports.Job Duty 3 -
    Schedule and make arrangements for meetings and other eventsJob Duty 4 -
    Make travel arrangements for unit staff management and staff as directed.Job Duty 5-
    Perform other duties as assigned


    The SACSCOC CCR is due in September 2024. The Accreditation Specialist would be expected to complete the following duties in relation the CCR:
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to gather information and data necessary to complete written narratives and supporting evidence for all standards
  • Research and write required justifications for Georgia Tech teaching faculty as required for the Faculty Roster
  • Research and write required justifications for all Georgia Tech program coordinators as required for the Program Coordinator Roster
  • Research and publish as PDF compelling supporting documentary evidence as required for each standard
  • Assist with testing software used to produce final rosters and final report
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements
    High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

    Other Required Qualifications
    Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Required Experience
    Up to two years of job related experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays

    • Education: Master's Degree in Education, Business, Policy or related field
    • Work Experience: two years job related experience

      Proposed Salary

      $40/hour, 20 hours/week, for 35 weeks

      Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

      This job requires skills in general office administration to include document preparation and processing, records management, event planning and organization, spoken/written communications and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task. Skill in basic office related computer applications is required.

      Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

      This job requires strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and critical thinking skills. Must be a self-starter, comfortable with working independently with accessible coaching and supervision. Must have experience with web research, creating PDFs of websites, and document indexing, as well as computer software skills with programs including Word, Excel, Adobe, and general database knowledge. Interest in learning about institutional accreditation and the Georgia Tech infrastructure is a plus.
