Overview
The Director of Tax will manage all aspects of tax compliance and
developing strategic initiatives to optimize our tax position. The
Director of Tax will oversee tax planning, reporting, and
compliance while working closely with cross-functional teams to
identify opportunities to reduce tax liabilities and enhance our

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the tax compliance
function, ensuring timely and accurate filing of federal, state,
and local tax returns
- Oversee tax audits, inquiries, and examinations, coordinating
responses and ensuring compliance with tax authorities
- Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize the
organization's tax position and minimize tax liabilities
- Identify opportunities for tax savings, credits, deductions,
and incentives
- Prepare and review tax provisions in financial statements in
accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings,
including consolidated tax returns
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement
strategic tax initiatives aimed at reducing tax spend and enhancing
financial performance
- Evaluate the impact of proposed transactions on tax liability
and provide recommendations
- Assess tax risks and implement controls to mitigate tax-related
exposures
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and
accounting standards, ensuring compliance and advising on potential
impacts
- Build and lead a high-performing tax team, providing
mentorship, guidance, and training to team members
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous
improvement within the tax department
- Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to
integrate tax strategies into the overall business objectives
- Communicate tax implications of financial decisions to
stakeholders effectively
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
required
- CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive tax experience, including tax
compliance and tax planning
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and
regulations
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and
develop a team
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication
skills
- Ability to think strategically and identify tax-saving
opportunities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and
compliance
- Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools
