Role Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst Operations is responsible supporting fact-based decision-making by Operations Leadership team by identifying and clarifying business drivers and forecasting business results. This position supports multiple aspects of the companys operations function including historical deliveries and margin analysis, operations cost analysis and deliveries forecasting that will drive revenue growth and enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducts comprehensive financial analysis to assess the performance of the Operations team, including but not limited to delivery trends, purchasing strategies, and cost drivers.

Develops and maintains annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, working closely with Operations leadership to ensure alignment with operations targets and objectives.

Analyzes cost drivers and sales margins, identifying potential areas for improvement and cost reduction.

Defines, tracks, and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Operations department, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Generates and distributes regular reports to provide Operations leadership with up-to-date information on performance, trends, and potential opportunities or risks.

Conducts ad hoc financial analysis and modeling as needed to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

Works closely with other departments, notably Sales, to ensure alignment and coordination in achieving company objectives.

Experience:

Data gathering and analysis: Collecting, consolidating, and using relevant information; recognizing important information; tracing possible causes of problems, and searching for practical data/solutions.

Financial Acumen: Interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.

Financial Awareness: Actively seeking opportunities to optimize financial costs and investments when making decisions that have a financial implication.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in the Accounting or Finance function

Experience in a distribution, retail and/or warehousing environment a plus

Bachelors Degree required, Finance, Economics or Business preferred

CPA or MBA a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong Excel skills, with exposure to other reporting tools (MS PowerBI, Workday Adaptive)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate results to non-finance associates

Capability to work and solve problems independently

Ability to manage, establish and improve processes
